I’m Amy Clearwater. I spent fourteen years on Wall Street, embedded in the operational and communications infrastructure of a global institutional business, simplifying operations, and mitigating risk and friction. Between my career and elected office, I have developed a habit of saying yes to hard problems. I'm an attorney, a current elected official, and nonprofit board member.
Clearwater Shift is what I built when I realized that the skills I had developed across all of those contexts — seeing around corners, building systems that hold, asking the question nobody else was asking — were exactly what small businesses and nonprofits needed and almost never had access to. My clients are people who are genuinely excellent at their work and quietly overwhelmed by the businessy parts of it. Helping with that turns out to be the most satisfying work I've ever done.
I'm based in Biddeford, Maine, where I live with my wife and two kids. I work with clients across Maine and nationwide.
